Welcome!

KIOSK 2014

The kiosk is now open!! - please come and visit us in Russell Park, as we will be open during the afternoons on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from May to end-September. We will also open the kiosk ad-hoc at other times during the week, when there is a volunteer available and the weather is good, so please remember to keep some spare change in your pocket when you visit the park, just in-case there's a coffee and cake there with your name on it!

We are doing things a bit differently this year. Last year we opened just one day a week and provided lunchtime food, but this year we are doing things a bit differently to enable us to open more easily, with more volunteers. We are therefore opting for a simple selection of snacks, cakes and refreshments instead of providing hot food and sandwiches.

VOLUNTEERS

We do not have any paid staff, so as a volunteer-led charity, we are indebted to our volunteers, who make it all possible. We'd like to say a big thank you to Tim, Floyde, Pat and Connie for all their hard work!

If you can spare some time to help us at the kiosk in Russell Park or with planning, project management, the website, finance admin, (or anything else that you'd like to do!) please email wendy@noelskitchen.co.uk or call Wendy on 070 9298 2643. All help is much appreciated.

What's on in Russell Park?

Noel's Kitchen Kiosk

Open Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The toilet will be available whenever the kiosk is open.

Whether you come for a lolly to cool you down, a hot chocolate to warm you up, or just a cup of tea and a chat, we hope to bring you a warm experience - whatever the weather!

Stay and Play Morning (tues) & Childminders Morning (wed) (playcentre next to the kiosk)

Please see the noticeboard outside the kiosk for a timetable of the week's activities or visit Noel Park Children's centre at Shropshire Hall (on the corner of Darwin Rd and Gladstone Avenue).

Big Local Special Event

The Big Local are holding an event on Saturday 5th July 2014. It looks like it will be lots of fun - details will follow. Keep looking at the Noel Park Big Local facebook page!

Noel’s Kitchen Ltd is a registered charity, developed and managed by Noel Park mums. We are a small volunteer-led organisation, without paid staff, so we are grateful to those who give their time as volunteers in the kiosk or helping with admin tasks, and Noel’s Kitchen development.

Our vision is to enhance the health and wellbeing of our Noel Park community by providing:

affordable healthy homemade food at the kiosk in Russell Park

• a friendly, welcoming environment within Russell Park, to meet others & relax while children play

• Learning opportunities for local people, through ‘cook and eat’ sessions and Food Safety training

• Opportunities for local residents to acquire skills and confidence as Noel’s Kitchen volunteers

If you are interested in volunteering in the kiosk, we will arrange training (Food Safety and induction) and ask that you commit to at least 6 volunteering sessions.
